Fahrzeugbeschreibung
RECORD BREAKER
The GTO Bilster Berg burst onto the market in 2014 by destroying the lap record at Germany’s Bilster Berg racetrack.
And this is the exact car that did it.
Finished in an amazing pearl-effect white (Suzuka Grau) paint, contrasted with exposed carbon elements, it features the nose cone that only came with the Bilster Berg Edition.
With just 14 cars ever made, the Bilster Berg Edition is the most limited-production GTO model developed by Donkervoort.
With GTO prices going up, this unique, record-breaking piece of art might also turn out to be a strong long-term investment.
The car has always been maintained at the Donkervoort factory and is in excellent technical condition.
Interior:
While the car was built in 2014, the interior of this GTO BBE was upgraded to its latest specification in 2017. The overhaul included a new transmission-tunnel cover, side panel upholstery, new floor mats and other details. The steering wheel commands were also upgraded to the GTO-RS specification in 2018.
The Grey Alcantara interior creates an unusually light cabin feeling, while the seats mix black Alcantara and leather to ensure everything stays clean in daily usage.
The new steering commands bring a very nice modern touch, and its electronic heating control is also a very handy upgrade.
Technician’s note:
Breaking a lap record is not an easy thing to do, and all the planets must align to make it happen. The purpose of this car was very clear from the very beginning when we were building it. We took extra time to create this car; everything was even more important because we knew it had to be perfect to break the record.
This GTO BBE drives particularly well, even now. This piece of Donkervoort history has had a pretty quiet life since its record-breaking days. It is now boasting a more road-friendly setup with more suspension travel and more comfort. But make no mistake, it is ready for action when the opportunity arises.
With second-generation GTOs (so GTO-RS onwards) starting at around €180,000, this GTO BBE is a good opportunity to get the last iteration of the first-generation GTO with some elements from the second-generation at a more reasonable price.
